How Ownership Works
Your workspace is an NFT you own, transfer, or sell. No other platform lets you do that.
The problem with platforms
Every workspace you've ever had lives on someone else's terms. Discord can ban your server. Slack can raise prices. Notion can change their API. You're renting space in someone else's building.
You can't:
- Sell your community when you're ready to move on
- Transfer to a co-founder without recreating everything
- Guarantee your space exists if the platform pivots
- Build equity in something you've poured months into
Treehouse is different
Every workspace is tied to an NFT called a Hideout. Hold the Hideout, control the workspace. That's it.
Actually yours
No platform can revoke it. No ToS update can take it away. You hold the NFT, you own the workspace.
Transfer in seconds
New wallet? New co-founder? New owner entirely? Send the NFT. The workspace follows.
Sell like any asset
List on Magic Eden or Tensor. The buyer gets everything: workspace, members, settings.
Who uses Treehouse
DAOs & Communities
Gate access by NFT holdings. Transfer leadership without rebuilding. Keep community assets under community control.
NFT Projects
Give holders a private space. Announce alpha. Gate by collection. The workspace lives as long as the project does.
Individuals & Teams
Creators, consultants, small teams. Anyone who wants to own their workspace instead of renting it.
How it works
Get a Hideout
Buy one on Magic Eden or Tensor. Each Hideout lets you create one workspace.
Connect and create
Connect your wallet. We detect your Hideout. Name your workspace and set access rules.
Linked on-chain
Your Hideout and workspace are now connected. Ownership is recorded on Solana.
Transfer anytime
Send the Hideout to another wallet or sell it. The new holder becomes the owner instantly.
Common questions
I'm just one person, not a DAO. Is this for me? ▼
Yes. Plenty of creators, consultants, and small teams use Treehouse. The ownership model works the same whether you have 10 members or 10,000. If you want to own your workspace instead of renting it, it's for you.
What if Treehouse shuts down? ▼
The Hideout NFT is yours regardless. It lives on Solana, not our servers. We're building toward full data portability so your content isn't locked in either.
Can I run multiple workspaces? ▼
Yes. One Hideout creates one workspace. Want three workspaces? Get three Hideouts. Each can have different access rules and members.
What happens to members when I transfer ownership? ▼
Nothing changes for them. The new owner inherits everything: members, admins, access rules, settings. Members keep access based on existing gating rules.
Why would I buy instead of paying monthly? ▼
You're acquiring an asset, not renting software. If you stop using the workspace, sell the Hideout to someone else. Try doing that with a Slack subscription.
Is this like SNS domains? ▼
Similar idea. SNS gives you ownership of a name, Hideouts give you ownership of a workspace. Both are NFTs you hold, transfer, or sell.
